URBAN DESIGNER & ARCHITECT
Duncan Whatmore is an architect and urban designer based in Edinburgh and working throughout Scotland on a variety of exemplar projects, including projects with Sir Terry Farrell, and innovative masterplanning initiatives throughout the central belt as well as the Highlands.
Duncan is interested in making distinctive places that respond to their context and allow social and cultural development to continue to evolve.
Lisa Mackenzie
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Lisa Mackenzie is a chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and is a member of n-o-m-a-d.org. Lisa is a Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and a visiting lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence.
Lisa has a strong interest in the application of ecological principals to the practice of Design and Masterplanning. In her work and teaching she employs the fundamentals of ecology to evolve strategies for multi-dimensional and sustainable human communities.
Wayne & Gerardine Hemingway
Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway are the highly successful founders of Red or Dead which won the British Fashion Council’s 'Street Style Designer of the Year' award three times in a row in the late 90’s.
In 1999, having sold Red or Dead they set up Hemingway Design, which specialises in affordable and social design. Their highest profile project is award winning the Straiths South Bank, a 800 property mass market housing project on Tyneside.
Wayne is the Chairman of Building for Life, Cabe and Home Builder Federation Initiative with a mission to raise the standard of our living environments.
